💛¿Who is Luz?💛
Hello! My name is Luz, and I am the founder of Lightupyourdance a website created for women who wish to expand their minds and explore the limits of their bodies through dance and self-love. I am from Cali, Colombia, a city where dancing is not only a passion but also a tradition that we pass on to future generations and share with the world.
In addition to being a belly dancer, I am also a teacher of foreign languages (English-Spanish). Currently, I teach Spanish as a second language online at www.ludiclanguage.com.
I began learning how to dance on my own at a young age and later joined group classes in my twenties. However, due to my responsibilities as an English teacher, pursuing my dream of becoming a professional dancer was challenging. Nearing my 30s, I made the decision to return to dance classes to improve my technique and make my dream come true.
While teaching Spanish as a second language online, I continue to learn and share my passion for belly dance with others. I also aim to inspire other women to dance for themselves, to love and care for themselves, and to find the light that each one has within. I believe that anything is possible when you find the courage to pursue your dreams. Don’t wait until it’s too late to ask yourself, ‘Why didn’t I ever try?’

In the DANCE TO HEAL community, we carry out 30-day exercises to shift our mindset and achieve our goals. These exercises must be completed in order and without missing a single day. If you miss one, you’ll need to start over, as it’s crucial to cultivate the willpower to improve. NO EXCUSES!
Please note that I’m not a psychologist, but applying these exercises in my own life—alongside my career as a language teacher and now a belly dance instructor—has given me the tools to create personal growth resources that I now want to share with as many women as possible.
